Role Overview

We’re hiring for a Europe-based company that builds automation and integration solutions for global clients. This fully remote role is open to Indonesia-based developers who are skilled in PHP and passionate about building smart, scalable workflow systems using tools like n8n.

Job Description

Design and Develop: Build, test, and maintain PHP-based applications and integrations, focusing on workflow automation. n8n Development: Implement, configure, and extend automation workflows using n8n (or learn it on the job), connecting APIs, databases, and third-party services. Solution Architecture: Collaborate with Architects and Product Owners to propose scalable, secure, and maintainable automation architectures. Custom Scripting: Write custom PHP scripts, modules, and plugins to meet unique client requirements. Quality Assurance: Ensure high code quality by writing unit and integration tests, participating in code reviews, and enforcing best practices. Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and propose enhancements—both technical and process-oriented—to improve efficiency. Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to gather requirements, present technical proposals, and incorporate feedback. Documentation: Produce clear technical documentation for code, automation workflows, and operational runbooks.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications PHP Expertise: 3+ years of professional experience in PHP development (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks). API Integration: Proven ability to work with RESTful and SOAP APIs. Automation Mindset: Understanding of automation principles and enthusiasm for building workflow solutions. Database Skills: Strong SQL skills with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent. Version Control: Comfortable with Git-based workflows (branching strategies, pull requests, merge conflicts). Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and experience working in agile teams. Self-Learner: Willingness and ability to rapidly learn new tools, frameworks, and automation platforms (e.g., n8n). Nice to Have n8n Experience: Hands-on experience designing and deploying n8n workflows. Other Automation Tools: Familiarity with Zapier, Integromat/Make, or Node-RED. DevOps Exposure: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). JavaScript/TypeScript: Comfortable writing Node.js functions or frontend components where needed. Cloud Platforms: Experience deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Testing Frameworks: Knowledge of PHPUnit, Behat, or similar testing tools.
